This stole is made by women artisans of Disha, in Rajasthan, India. This stole is made using the stitched shibori technique which involves stitching a pattern into the cloth before dyeing it. The pattern was made using a sewing machine. The fabric is cotton-silk, handwoven in Chanderi, in Central India.
Disha is owned and operated by Amrita, a victim of domestic violence herself, and is now empowering other disadvantaged women by training them in surface design techniques. Thank you for supporting their work.

Care: To care for this handmade product, wash infrequently and only if necessary. Spot clean preferred. Do no rub or soak. If you need to wash it, please hand-wash it separately in a mild detergent and cold water. Drip-dry in shade.
